30% concern old decisions which cannot be altered.
12% center in criticism, mostly untrue, made by people who feel inferior.
10% are related to my health which worsens while I worry.
8% is legitimate, showing that life does have real problems which may bemet head on when I have eliminated senseless worries.
SO WHY SHOULD I WORRY ?

FRIENDSHIP

Friendship isn't always easily described. The Eskimos, they say, have a hundred different words for snow. Unfortunately, the English language isn't quite as innovative, though it has vast opportunities to differentiate meaning. Certainly, Love is one of those opportunities. And so, too, is Friendship.
Instead of different words, however, we're stuck with simple adjectives. Close friend. Best friend. Childhood friend. Intimate friend. Trusted friend. Beloved friend. But whether you use adjectives or different words, few could deny the nearly infinite meaning in such a simple word.
Friends are special people. We can't pick our family, and we're sorely limited in the number of them at any rate. Society and mores (and often our own conscience) dictate we select a single mate. But our friends can be as diverse and infinite as the adjectives we choose. Our friends, in a very real sense, reflect the choices we make in life.
Let the countdown begin.
The Great Indian Lion
09.25.08 (10:58 am) [edit]In a poor zoo of India, a lion was frustrated as he was offered not more than 1 kg meat a day. One day the lion thought its prayers were answered when a US Zoo Manager visited the zoo and requested the zoo management to shift the lion to a US zoo.The lion was pleased and started thinking of a central A/C environment, a goat or two every day and a US Green Card. On it's first day after arrival, the lion was offered a big bag, sealed very nicely, for breakfast. It opened the bag quickly but was shocked to see that it contained only a few bananas. Controlling its anger, the lion thought that may be they cared too much for him as they were worried about his stomach as he had recently shifted from India. The next day the same thing happened. On the third day again the same food bag of bananas was delivered. Now the lion was furious. It stopped the delivery boy and blasted him,"Don't you know, I am the lion...King of the Jungle....What' s wrong with your management? What nonsense is this? Why are you delivering bananas to me ?" The delivery boy politely said, "Sir, I know you are the King of the Jungle but....do you know that you have been brought here on a monkey's visa!!! Moral : Better to be a Lion in India than a Monkey elsewhere .....
Comedy

Good comedians, sometimes also refered to as stand-up comedians manage to keep the public amused by simply showing them the mirror. They take an every day situation and show us how bizzarre we act on occasion. So really, what we do is laugh about ourselves. Comedy has a popular meaning (any discourse generally intended to amuse, especially in television, film, and stand-up comedy). This must be carefully distinguished from its academic definition, namely the comic theatre, whose Western origins are found in Ancient Greece. In the Athenian democracy, the public opinion of voters was remarkably influenced by the political satire performed by the comic poets at the theaters.Henderson, J. (1993) Comic Hero versus Political Elite pp.307-19 in The theatrical genre can be simply described as a dramatic performance which pits two societies against each other in an amusing agon or conflict. Northrop Frye famously depicted these two opposing sides as a "Society of Youth" and a "Society of the Old" (The Anatomy of Criticism, 1957), but this dichotomy is seldom described as an entirely satisfactory explanation.

Night Sky

The night sky engulfs me with her blanket of stars, Doing her best to mend all my scars... She breathes upon me her cold, comforting air, As I stare into the darkness, lost in despair... The night sky shares with me her amazing history, As I bare to her all the story of my misery... She listens carefully to each word I say, As I share a story of loneliness, love and dismay... The night sky shows me the black clouds she passes, Hoping that by doing so, my sadness she might suppress... She sees that slowly, a smile creeps from my lips, Though the pain from my wounds continuously seeps... The dawn is coming, the night sky had to go, She said goodbye, she just had to do so... She did her best, and I know what I had to do, As a new day comes, I had to move on too...

You Control Yourself, Not the Devil..
08.21.08 (10:54 am) [edit]We must know that it is us who have control of each of our conducts. The devil merely gives us suggestions, but it is us who make the decision either to pay heed or not. The devil couldn't even predict our future and thoughts, he simply makes presumptions based on our past or present situation we are in, in which he makes all kinds of trickery to tempt us and finally get us away from God. Thus, this goes to say that he has no control over us. Even so, if we set ourselves apart from God, by not taking seriously the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ, then, we are giving the devil the chance to get into our lives, wherein we become weak spiritually and in effect, can easily succumb into doing ungodly acts. To protect ourselves from the devil, we must keep a close-relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, through prayers done constantly and sincerely, and practice humility for He loves humble individuals, then He will grant our needs. Moreover, believe in Him and His great love for us all regardless of the fact that we haven't seen Him yet... [Wink] [Thumbs Up]

I want to stay beside you always, but i know i can't. How hard it is knowing that the one who you want to be with and care for, can never be yours Life is so unfair..... Is it asking too much? I wish i can take my heart back and not love you.... I know i want to, but i just can't.

Nepal is commonly divided into three physiographic areas: the Mountain, Hill, and Terai Regions. These ecological belts run east-west and are bisected by Nepal's major river systems. The Terai Plains bordering India are part of the northern rim of the Indo-Gangetic plains. They were formed and are fed by three major rivers: the Kosi, the Narayani (India's Gandak River), and the Karnali. This region has a hot, humid climate. The Hill Region (Pahad in Nepali) abuts the mountains and varies from 1,000 to 4,000 metres (3,300-13,125 ft) in altitude. Two low mountain ranges, the Mahabharat Lekh and Shiwalik Range (also called the Churia Range) dominate the region. The hilly belt includes the Kathmandu Valley, the country's most fertile and urbanised area. Unlike the valleys, elevations above 2,500 metres (8,200 ft) are sparsely populated. The Mountain Region contains the highest region in the world. The world's highest mountain, Mount Everest (Sagarmatha in Nepali) at 8,850 metres (29,035 ft) is located on the border with China. Deforestation is a major problem in all regions, with resulting erosion and degradation of ecosystems. Nepal has five climatic zones, broadly corresponding to altitude. Bad Accident

An armored car company reported losing $8,000 in quarters along highways in two Wisconsin counties last month. About half has been returned. "I guess somebody found that and figured it was an early Christmas," Jefferson County Detective Sgt. Lawrence Lee said. Eight hundred dollars of loose quarters was found late last month in the Madison area and $3,200 in Jefferson County the next day. Loomis Fargo officials told authorities that a truck headed for Madison carrying boxes of quarters broke down in the Pewaukee area, so they sent another one. The load was transferred, but someone forgot to secure the door. The driver was ticketed for failure to prevent a leaking load. Talk about your loose change!
SET Asia presents Indian Idol 3 – Wild Card Entry Round
08.06.08 (8:31 pm) [edit]Indian Idol 3 _setasia Indian Idol 3, telecast on SET Asia is looking at a complete package that is chosen by India as its own Idol. Indian Idol 3 is still about polishing that uncut diamond among the contestants who has immense potential. Indian Idol is into entertaining the viewers at any cost, be it through the display of those who think that they are singers to the ‘heart-wrenching exit of talented singers at different stages'. At the beginning of the show on Saturday night Mini and Hussain gave some information about how the judges chose the seven wild card entries from the contestants who got eliminated in the Piano Round of Indian Idol 3 and how the 7 people fought by giving their best performance. The hosts announced the top 4 out of 7 and those four selected contestants performed again on the stage. The top 4 contestants of Indian Idol 3 who got selected are Amit, Ankita, Padmanav and Suhit. Amit sang ‘Chal Chale', he started off good but forgot the lyrics when he came towards the second verse of the song. Amit explained that he was depressed at the elimination of Bhavin and got messed up because of it. Ankita sang ‘Kaise Paheli' with great pomp and with amazing expressions on her face. Padmanv gave an excellent performance by singing ‘Ma tuje salam'. Upnext was Suhit Gosain, he sang ‘Tu Aashiqui Hain' and Alisha and Annu praised him but Javed Akthar told him that his singing was flat and that he is helpless. Udit said that his performance was better than the previous one. Two Wild Cards contestant will join the Top 11 based on their performance. Unexpected visit
08.06.08 (8:20 pm) [edit]Just a few days longer than four months have passed since I last communicated with David. Now, all of a sudden and out of the freakin' blue, he pops up again. For what reason? I have no clue to his motivation at all. I am freaked out and confused. I thought we had agreed to never communicate again, forever. I've been true to my end of the deal. Tonight, not only did he show up at my work, where he is barred, but he also showed up at my home!!! What the hell is that all about? I didn't see him as I was on break when he showed up at my job and I was obviously at work when he went to my house. I just don't get it at all. He'll be having his year wedding anniversary in a week. As far as I know he's fine and happy. I can't even think of a single reason that he'd even want to see me. He obviously was attempting just that last night. My son's father was here and answered the door. I'm sure that it was awkward for both of them. I sort of laugh when I think about it. He wasn't even going to tell me about the impromptu visit except that I told him that David had come into my work. So I'm confused and more than a bit curious about the whole thing. I'll need to sleep on it, I think, before I can decide exactly how I feel about this attempt. There are way too many emotions to try to sort with so little rest. I hope I can get a few hours of sleep before I start my weekend. I'm off to bed. I hope I sleep.
